It can sometime confuse while browsing through system snapshots and you happen to compare for example 30/06/2010 with 01/07/2010 because they are sorted by crescent number so they end up mixed and not chronological.

You could always tell TU to allow custom names, then give it a name of the program and a date eg: Acrobat110101 (acrobat 01 = 2011 0102 = Jan 01)
